|Method of Fabricating Bubble-Type Micro-Pump - A manufacturing method of a bubble-type micro-pump is provided. At least a bubble-generating unit is provided on the bubble-generating section. Because of the varied surface energies on the top of the bubble-generating section, the varied backfilling velocities of the fluid of the front end and the rear end cause fluid moving when a bubble vanishes. The top surface of the bubble-generating section is subjected to a particular surface treatment to form a surface energy gradient. Examples of surface treatment include sputtering a thin film with varied densities or thickness, radiating one or multi-layer thin films by a laser beam, etc.||06-24-2010

The diffraction micro flow structure comprises a substrate and a diffraction part. The substrate comprises at least a flow path. The diffraction part is disposed on the substrate. The diffraction part comprises a diffraction optical element. After light passes through the diffraction optical element, the light is focused in the flow path and forms an optical field.||04-16-2009|
|THREE-LEVEL RECORDING PHASE-CHANGE OPTICAL DISC - A three-level recording phase-change optical disc including a first recording layer, a second recording layer, a third recording layer, a reflective layer, and a dielectric layer is provided. The first recording layer, the second recording layer, and the third recording layer can form three recording regions with three different reflective indexes respectively so as to increase the recording density of the optical disc.||02-19-2009
|DISK STRUCTURE, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF AND OPTICAL TWEEZERS DEVICE USING THE SAME - A disk structure is disposed in an optical tweezers device including a light source for producing incident laser light. The disk structure includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a reflective layer. The second substrate is disposed with respect to the first substrate. One of the first substrate and the second substrate has at least one flow path. The reflective layer, which is adhered to the second substrate, is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. After the incident laser light passes through the first substrate and then reaches the reflective layer, the incident laser light is reflected back as reflective laser light by the reflective layer to form reflective laser light. A tweezers light field is formed in the flow path by both the reflective laser light and the incident laser light.||02-12-2009
|DISC HAVING RELIEF PATTERN AND TRANSPRINT METHOD THEREOF - A disc having a relief pattern and a transprint method thereof are provided. The transprint method for transprinting the relief pattern on a substrate of the disc includes the following steps. First, a transprint template is provided. A first surface of the transprint template has a complementary pattern corresponding to the relief pattern. Next, a pattern layer is formed on the substrate. Then, the transprint template is placed on and covers the pattern layer until the first surface of the transprint template closely contacts a second surface of the pattern layer, so that the relief pattern is formed on the second surface. Afterward, the pattern layer is cured by irradiation. Later, the transprint template is removed for exposing the second surface with the relief pattern.||01-15-2009
