20150191333 | SYSTEM FOR DETERMINATION OF A CONTAINER'S POSITION IN A VEHICLE AND/OR ITS TRAILER TO BE LOADED WITH CONTAINERS - A system for determining a position of a vehicle and/or in a trailer. The at least one container is loaded and unloaded into the vehicle and/or trailer by a crane. The crane includes a container spreader for gripping the containers and a positioning system for the crane and container spreader. The vehicle and trailer have locking pins that lock into pin holes in the corners of the container. A laser scanner determines the position of the locking pins in the vehicle and/or the trailer and the position of the container depending on the position of the locking pins. The laser scanner is arranged to determine positions in relation to the ground of the locking pins. The position information is relayed to the crane. Based on the position information, the positioning system calculates the position of the locking pins in relation to the crane. | 07-09-2015 |
20110197401 | COUPLING DEVICE FOR COUPLING CONTAINERS, PARTICULARLY CONTAINERS USED IN CARGO SHIPS - The invention relates to a coupling device for coupling containers, particularly for coupling containers used in cargo ships and land transport, in which coupling device ( | 08-18-2011 |
20110193297 | BULKHEAD SEAL - Seal for sealing a gap between a bulkhead and a wall of a cargo hold, wherein the seal comprises a spine with two lateral webs. The webs can for example be tarps comprising magnetic parts. The spine can for example be an angled profile having to legs under right angles provided with slits along their longitudinal top edges for clamping a longitudinal edge of a lateral web. In a specific embodiment a chord can be embedded, e.g., stitched, along the longitudinal edge of the tarp, while the edge with the chord is hold in the slit in the longitudinal top edge of the legs of the spine. | 08-11-2011 |
20110155487 | ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN STRADDLE CARRIER, TERMINAL TRACTOR OR CORRESPONDING - An electrically-driven container straddle carrier, terminal tractor or equivalent free-travel device that runs on rubber tires and handles containers. The device includes a repeatedly-chargeable electric power storage and an automatic charging system connected to the power storage, which is arranged to couple to an external source of electric power for a part of the work cycle of the device handling containers for charging the electric power storage without disturbing the normal work cycle of the device. When the device is a transport straddle carrier that operates in a cargo terminal between a crane and a container interchange area, the automatic charging system includes a power supply station arranged in the terminal area, provided with a power supply head, whereby the container straddle carrier includes a charging head connected to the power storage and coupling to the power supply station. | 06-30-2011 |
20110031204 | OPERATOR'S CABIN FOR A STRADDLE CARRIER - An operator's cabin for a straddle carrier. The straddle carrier includes a portal frame, to which belong essentially vertical supporting pillars, and a top frame connecting them at the top. On each side of the straddle carrier at the bottom end of the supporting pillars there are wheels carrying the portal frame. The straddle carrier's operator's cabin is mounted in the front part of the straddle carrier resting on the top frame on one side of the straddle carrier's center line in the driving direction. The operator's cabin is mounted to rest on the straddle carrier's top frame with the aid of a separate intermediate frame, which in a situation where the straddle carrier is falling over and the portal frame is crashing to the ground is allowed to move in the straddle carrier's transverse direction. The intermediate frame is equipped with a brake device or with corresponding brake devices to receive and absorb the kinetic energy of the operator's cabin and to bring about a controlled movement and a decelerating force for the operator's cabin before the movement stops in a situation where the straddle carrier is falling over. To the straddle carrier's top frame is mounted and attached at least one slide guide bar extending in the horizontal direction and in the straddle carrier's transverse direction, and the intermediate frame is equipped with at least one sliding wagon, which is mounted to move along the slide guide bar. | 02-10-2011 |
