The mixed setting compound is injected into an intermediate space between two glass panels of an insulating glass pane by delivering the at least two constituents from storage containers into separate intermediate storage units from which they are delivered into a mixer in which the constituents are mixed while passing through the mixer. The compound leaving the mixer is injected into the intermediate space between the two glass panels by a nozzle which has at least one opening directed into the intermediate space between the glass panels. The nozzle is moved along the edge of at least one of the two glass panels.
