The system uses magnetic and potential energy inherent in the magnets and weight of a magnet wheel of a magnetic drive unit which converts this energy into kinetic energy and torque applied to a drive shaft, which then drives an electrical alternator. The magnetic wheel is a fly wheel made from non-magnetic material having a unique arrangement of magnets around its periphery. An electromagnet is powered by a switch that is activated by a magnetic flux of permanent magnets arranged on the magnet wheel. Once the wheel and drive shaft are rotating at a steady-state rotational speed, the pulsating excitation of electromagnets pulls the permanent magnets on the magnet wheel, which keeps the wheel and ultimately the integral drive shaft rotating.
