The method may include displaying, to the user/student, portions of video and audio of a conversational program (such as an advertisement in a second language), while causing a textual indication of the displayed audio to be simultaneously displayed (e.g., in the second language and a native language). The user may be prompted for information indicative of comprehension of the program by the user.
