20120126627SOLAR ARRAY REGULATOR BASED ON STEP-UP AND DOWN CONVERSION AND SOLAR POWER SYSTEM COMPRISING THE SAME - A solar array system includes at least one solar array and at least one solar array regulator. The solar array regulator has an input port to be connected to the solar array, and an output port to be connected to a power bus. The solar array comprises a switching voltage converter comprising a step-down (PC05-24-2012
20120062323Radio-Frequency Power Amplifier with Fast Envelope Tracking - A radio-frequency power amplifier with envelope tracking, comprising: a power RF amplifying device for amplifying a RF signal; and a switching DC/DC converter, comprising a switching device and a rectifying device, for providing said power RF amplifying device with a DC power supply at a voltage level proportional to an envelope of said RF signal; wherein said switching device is a RF power transistor; characterized in that said rectifying device, and preferably also said power RF amplifying device, is also a transistor of a same technology, connected as a two-terminal device. Preferably, said power RF amplifying device is also a transistor of said same technology. A low-pass filter can also be provided for reducing the bandwidth of the envelope signal on which the PWM signal driving the DC/DC converter depends.03-15-2012
20110127972SEQUENTIAL SWITCHING SHUNT REGULATOR CELL WITH NON-REDUNDANT RECTIFIER - A sequential switching shunt regulator cell comprising: a power line (PL) for connecting a power source (SA) to a power bus (PB); a shunting (SSW) switch for shunting said power line; and driving means (DM) for opening or closing said shunting switch depending on an error signal (MEA) indicative of a voltage level of said power bus; characterized in that it also comprises: a non-redundant rectifier (D06-02-2011
20110033006METHOD FOR COMPENSATING SIGNAL DISTORTION IN AN EMITTING PAYLOAD - A method for compensating signal distortion in an emitting payload including determining a compensation transfer function and introducing it within the aggregate response of the payload; choosing an initial tentative compensation transfer function and introducing it within the aggregate response of the payload; acquiring an output signal of the emitting payload; based on the acquired output signal and on a reference signal, corresponding to an expected undistorted output signal, performing an estimation of a residual distortion transfer function of emitting payload; and based on the estimation of the residual distortion transfer function, computing an updated tentative compensation transfer function and introducing it within the aggregate response of the payload. The estimation can be a black-box estimating and the reference signal can be generated on-purpose, and not measured from within the emitting payload.02-10-2011
20100061427Method Of Processing Positioning Signals, In Particular For Indoor Applications - A method of processing positioning signal constituted by a superposition of individual signals generated by a plurality of emitters, in particular satellite emitters, comprising:—a first step of coarse acquisition of said individual signals, comprising correlation of the received positioning signal with locally generated replicas of said individual signals;—a step of identifying spurious correlation peaks induced by interferences; and—a step of estimating the code delays and the carrier frequency shifts of the acquired individual signals which are not affected by said interferences. According to preferred embodiments of the invention, the method can also comprise:—a refining step of determining more accurate estimates of said code delays and carrier frequency shifts; and—a step of interference cancellation. The method of the invention is particularly suitable to indoor positioning applications.03-11-2010
