The preferred application of this invention is in metallic cabinets used as office furniture. The disclosed cabinet is characterised by having a right-hand side assembly and a left-hand side assembly consisting of two lateral sandwich panels with upper and lower end pieces that house the retractable doors, the cabinet also being provided with a lower horizontal panel and an upper horizontal panel with guides for opening and closing the doors and a back panel that closes the cabinet.
