A filter having the characteristic frequency is applied on the result of the deconvolution so as to disregard high frequency components, and the filtered result of the deconvolution is processed into a blood flow parameter. In an advantageous embodiment, the characteristic frequency may be dependent on a shape and/or width of an arterial input function and/or other parameters. Especially the invention relates to the use of benzoxazinoids-containing grains of cereals for the production of bread baked on rye grains, wheat, spelt, rye and/or spelt sprouts for health-improving purposes. The health-improving effects according to the invention are obtained through the CNS stimulating effects of said benzoxazinoid-containing food and beverage products. These effects are appetite suppression, enhancement of mood, improved sexual function, relieve of fibromyalgia and sleep apnea disorders. Other CNS-related disorders are included as well. The health-improving effects of the invented food products containing benzoxazinoids also include anti-cancer activity, anti-inflammatory effects, analgesic effects and antibacterial effects. By comparing the color or shade of the extract obtained from an organism with a standard color scale developed with respect to the same organism, it is possible to determine if the organism is resistant to a pesticide, e.g., a herbicide. The invention also concerns a method of providing a standard color scale for material from a living organism that has been exposed to stress, e.g., a pesticide. As assay kit for the determination of whether material from a living organism is resistant to a pesticide is also described.
