20130330150 | Stacked Caps with Connecting Stems - A plurality of stacked fastener caps, each having a cap body. The cap body has first and second faces joined by a perimeter of the cap body, and adjacent faces of adjacent caps are joined by at least one connecting stem. The adjacent caps and connecting stems are integrally molded as a unit as by injection molding. One or both of the first and second faces may be planar. One of the first or second faces may be concave and the other may be convex. One or both of the first and second faces may have first and second thicker portions with a transverse groove interposed therebetween. | 12-12-2013 |
20100116864 | MOTORIZED FASTENER APPLICATOR - A fastener applicator is disclosed which uses a rotating ramped cam to drive a staple or other fastener into a workpiece. The ramped cam rotates in a direction substantially parallel to the direction in which the fastener is driven into the workpiece. Optionally, the fastener applicator may also include a portion for holding caps and positioning a cap beneath each fastener before it is driven into the workpiece. A unique use of a sliding linkage allows for the coupling of the cap-positioning portion with the unique new fastener applicator or also with any standard existing fastener applicator. | 05-13-2010 |
20090308906 | Cap feeder with grip finger - A cap feeder for a fastener gun. The gun includes a footplate, a fastener magazine holding a supply of fasteners such as staples, a nose, an upright cap magazine for holding a stacked assembly of caps, a cap pusher mounted for reciprocation with respect to the footplate, and a pneumatic-powered driver for driving a fastener from the nose, through the cap while the cap is in a fastening position beneath the nose, and into a workpiece. The cap magazine is mounted proximate the nose. The cap feeder includes a reciprocator for moving the cap pusher. The cap feeder includes a grip finger mounted to the cap pusher and extending beyond a cap-engaging portion of the cap pusher. The grip finger extends under an edge of the cap and engages the underside of the cap. The reciprocator preferably includes a piston pneumatically coupled to a piston of the driver. | 12-17-2009 |
