20110139139 | MULTI-POINT ACTIVATION TRIGGER SYSTEM AND METHOD - A trigger assembly for a paintball gun preferably includes a trigger arranged to move between a forward and a rearward position. A position transducer is preferably arranged in communication with the trigger to detect an amount of movement of the trigger. The position transducer preferably generates a signal corresponding to the amount of movement of the trigger. A control circuit preferably receives the signal from the position transducer and initiates a firing operation of a firing device when the output signal characteristics satisfy certain predetermined parameters. In one embodiment, the control circuit initiates a firing operation when a change in the output signal is greater than a predetermined threshold value. A change in the output signal can be determined by comparing a present output signal value with a reference signal value. The reference signal value can be set when the trigger is at rest or when the trigger transitions from a forward movement to a rearward movement. In another embodiment, the control circuit can be configured to adjust a firing rate of the firing device based on the amount of trigger pull. | 06-16-2011 |
20100282232 | PNEUMATIC PAINTBALL GUN WITH VOLUME RESTRICTOR - A volume restrictor can be provided for a pneumatic paintball gun to reduce the volume of compressed gas available within a compressed gas storage area for a firing operation of the paintball gun. In one embodiment, the volume restrictor includes a body having a forward end and a rearward end. A forward sealing member can be arranged on the forward end to seal around a bolt of the paintball gun. A rearward sealing member can be arranged on the rearward end of the body to seal against a rearward endwall of the compressed gas storage area. By placing the volume restrictor within the compressed gas storage area of the paintball gun, the volume of compressed gas available for a firing operation is reduced, thereby requiring an increased operating pressure to achieve the same paintball velocity. The increased chamber pressure can result in a shorter recharge time and less velocity drop off in successive shots. A set of volume restrictors can be provided to permit a user to selectively adjust the available volume of compressed gas in the compressed gas storage chamber. Other configurations of volume restrictors are also contemplated within this invention, for example, such as non-sealing volume restricting rings having various wall thicknesses. | 11-11-2010 |
20100101551 | PNEUMATICALLY OPERATED PROJECTILE LAUNCHING DEVICE - A paintball gun preferably includes an electro-pneumatic flow distribution mechanism such as a solenoid valve having a port connected to a pneumatic mechanism. For instance, the solenoid valve may include an input port receiving compressed gas from a compressed gas supply and an output port connected to the pneumatic mechanism. The solenoid valve can be enabled to direct compressed gas to and/or from the pneumatic mechanism to operate a bolt. The bolt may be coupled to the pneumatic mechanism. | 04-29-2010 |
20100051007 | SENSOR COVER AND ANGLED BALL DETENT FOR PAINTBALL GUN - A paintball gun can include a sensor for detecting the presence (or absence) of a paintball gun in a breech chamber of the paintball gun. A quick-access sensor cover can be provided to enable easy access to the sensor for cleaning or maintenance. The body of the paintball gun can include a receptacle that receives the sensor cover. The cover can be sized and shaped to matingly fit within the receptacle. A recess can be arranged in one end of the receptacle to receive a lip of the sensor cover. The sensor cover can further include a magnetic closure mechanism for retaining the cover in a closed relationship with respect to the paintball gun. Oppositely polarized magnets can, for instance, be arranged in the cover and the paintball gun body to attract and secure the cover in its closed position. The sensor can be positioned within a retaining member in the cover receptacle. Additionally, an angled ball detent can also be included in the sensor cover to prevent double-feeding of paintballs into the breech chamber. The ball detent can be arranged at an angle of less than ninety degrees, and most preferably less than forty-five degrees, with respect to a bolt of the paintball gun. | 03-04-2010 |
20090219245 | DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME - A method, apparatus and system for display of digital images that provides for duplicate file detection, dynamic simultaneous and sequential display of multiple images, user modifiable image display sequences, operating mode transition based upon motion sensing and automatic and selective transfer of images from external devices without requiring user or other human intervention. | 09-03-2009 |
20090199831 | PAINTBALL GUN WITH READILY-REMOVABLE PNEUMATIC ASSEMBLY - A paintball gun having a quick-removal assembly for readily removing a pneumatic assembly from a chamber of the paintball gun body preferably includes a lift cap hingedly connected to an end of the pneumatic mechanism. A lift pin is preferably connected to the lift cap and removably engaged within a pin receptacle of the paintball gun body. Lifting of the lift cap preferably withdraws the lift pin from the pin receptacle and enables the pneumatic assembly to be removed from the paintball gun. A self-venting mechanism can also be provided to safely release compressed gas stored in the pneumatic assembly from the paintball gun during removal of the pneumatic assembly. A latching mechanism can latch the lift cap in forward and closed position until a user desires to remove the assembly from the paintball gun. Slots can be arranged in the lift cap to permit rearward movement of the lift cap and to cause the lift cap to move away from a body of the paintball gun to allow rotational movement of the lift cap about a hinged axis. | 08-13-2009 |
20090095271 | PAINTBALL GUN WITH REARWARDLY REMOVABLE PNEUMATIC ASSEMBLY - A paintball gun having a rearwardly removable pneumatic assembly is provided. The pneumatic assembly preferably comprises a bolt and a bolt housing. A pneumatic cylinder is preferably arranged within a body of the paintball gun to receive the pneumatic assembly. A rearward opening is preferably provided in the body to provide access to the pneumatic cylinder for positioning and removal of the pneumatic assembly. The pneumatic assembly can be configured for removal with or without tools. In one embodiment, a cover plate can also be provided to cover the rearward opening in the body and prevent access to the pneumatic assembly until the cover plate is removed. A solenoid valve assembly is also provided having an upper and lower body section connected together through a tab and detent structure. | 04-16-2009 |
20080295899 | COMPRESSED GAS REGULATOR - A compressed gas regulator preferably includes a body having a piston chamber and an output port. A regulator piston can be arranged in the piston chamber with a first surface being acted upon by pressurized gas having the output pressure. A second surface of the piston can be acted upon by a biasing member, such as a spring or spring pack. The biasing member supplies a biasing force that urges the piston toward a first position. The output pressure of the pressurized gas acting on the first surface creates a force that urges the piston toward a second position. A piston seal is preferably arranged on an end of the piston stem to seat against and seal off an inlet port when the piston is in the second position. A pressure adjustment member can be configured to adjust the amount of biasing force applied by the biasing member on the second piston surface. A plug can provide the inlet port, with a stop ring retaining the plug in place to prevent over-pressurization. For CO | 12-04-2008 |
