20110211644 | Method for Detecting an Object with a Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) Ranging System - In a method for detecting an object with an FMCW (frequency modulated continuous wave) ranging system a superior accuracy and resolution is obtained by determining the strongest sinusoidal component in the frequency spectrum and removing the determined component from the spectrum, repeating the preceding step at least once, adding one of the components determined in the two preceding steps to the spectrum, re-determining the then strongest sinusoidal component in the spectrum and removing the re-determined component from the spectrum, repeating the preceding step for each remaining of the determined sinusoidal components, and repeating the last two steps until a desired degree of convergence is reached. | 09-01-2011 |
20100201408 | Digital Time Base Generator and Method for Providing a First Clock Signal and a Second Clock Signal - A digital time base generator and method for providing a first clock signal and a second clock signal in which a base clock signal having a base frequency is generated to provide two clock signals of slightly different frequencies with defined time or phase delay. Here, the base frequency is divided by a first integer to produce a first auxiliary signal, the frequency of the first auxiliary signal is multiplied by a factor to obtain the first clock signal, the base frequency is further divided by a second integer to produce a second auxiliary signal, and the frequency of the second auxiliary signal is multiplied by the factor to obtain the second clock signal. | 08-12-2010 |
20090320587 | Capacitive level sensor with a Plurality of Segments Comprising Each a Capacitor and a Circuit - A capacitive level sensor comprises a probe which is longitudinally segmented into a plurality of segments. Each segment comprises an electrode forming an electrical capacitor to a common ground electrode. Each electrode is connected to a measuring circuit via an associated one of a plurality of controllable switches. A control means controls said switches to successively and separately connect the capacitors to the measuring circuit. To simplify the design and manufacture of the level sensor, the controllable switches are individually arranged in the associated segments of the probe, and the control means is subdivided into control units respectively arranged in the segments and connected to a single control line. Alternatively, if a plurality of controllable measuring circuits are individually arranged in the associated segments and connected to an associated one of said electrodes, and if the control means successively and separately activates the measuring circuits, the control means is subdivided into control units respectively arranged in the segments of the probe and connected to a single control line. | 12-31-2009 |
