The method comprises receiving a request, through a phone call from a customer, to initiate an ACH transfer, the request including at least an account identifier and a payment amount. The method confirms the ACH transfer using speech recognition software and an interactive voice response unit, wherein the customer's identity, the date of transfer, the account identifier, the payment amount, a contact phone number, and the date of the confirmation, are confirmed by the customer using a verbal response recognized by the speech recognition software.
