20150296188 | SYSTEM AND METHOD OF VIRTUAL ZONE BASED CAMERA PARAMETER UPDATES IN VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS - A method and system that includes a processor of a surveillance system detecting identification of a portion of a secured area via a drawing made by an operator on a graphical representation of the secured area, the processor identifying at least one camera within the identified portion of the secured area, the processor increasing a relative level of picture quality for each of the at least one camera and the processor recording video with the increased level of picture quality from each of the identified at least one camera for a predetermined time period where the picture quality is increased by performing one or more of increasing image resolution, increasing frames per second, decreasing a group of pictures (GOP) value, decreasing a compression ratio and increasing a bit rate. | 10-15-2015 |
20150294671 | SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM WITH ADAPTIVE SPEECH PROCESSING - A regional monitoring system includes speech recognition circuitry having smart filtering capability to interpret speech input from a user to provide interactions between the user and the system. Received voice commands can be filtered using key words to interpret security commands which can then be executed. The system can provide audible feedback using one or more of prerecorded voice data files or synthesized speech. | 10-15-2015 |
20150294573 | RUNWAY LOCATION DETERMINATION - In some examples described herein, a runway location is determined based on aircraft state information from at least one aircraft. For example, a processor may determine the coordinates of one or more points of a runway based on aircraft state information generated by one or more aircraft using the runway. In some examples, the processor may aggregate coordinates determined from the aircraft state information provided by a plurality of different aircraft in order to determine the location of the runway. The processor can be located onboard an aircraft providing the state information, onboard a different aircraft, or external to any aircraft. | 10-15-2015 |
20150294509 | System and Method to Select and Characterize Building Floors Using 2D Representations - A system includes a two dimensional display device coupled to control circuitry. The control circuitry establishes a two dimensional representation of at least first and second floors of a building. Responsive to a selected input closed boundaries are established which surround the two dimensional representations of each floor. Responsive to at least one other input, first and second coordinate systems are established with one coordinate system associated with each boundary. Three dimensional information can be established relative to the various devices installed on each floor, and, simulations of operation can be carried out. An installer can move various of the devices and re-run the simulation to evaluate which configuration provides a better communication result. | 10-15-2015 |
20150293506 | FEEDBACK CONTROL FOR REDUCING FLARING PROCESS SMOKE AND NOISE - A method of reducing plant emissions includes providing a MPC model for a flaring process including one-to-one models between controlled variables (CVs) including a smoke count and/or a flare count (CV | 10-15-2015 |
20150293231 | GROUND-BASED SYSTEM AND METHOD TO EXTEND THE DETECTION OF EXCESSIVE DELAY GRADIENTS USING PARITY CORRECTIONS - A processing function to monitor a horizontal delay gradient in satellite signals is provided. The processing function includes a satellite differencing module, a double differencing module, a parity test module, and a gradient estimator module. The satellite differencing module receives carrier phase measurements for at least two satellites from at least three reference receivers. The satellite differencing module determines differences in the carrier phase measurements between signals from the monitored satellite and at least one of the at least one other satellite. The double differencing module: forms double-differences between pairs of the reference receivers; compensates the double-differences between the pairs; performs a modulo operation; and averages the double differences. The parity test module inputs the averaged compensated double differences when the average exceeds a parity enable threshold. The gradient estimator module configured is to estimate a magnitude of the horizontal delay gradient. | 10-15-2015 |
