Description:
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to an acoustic damper, and more particularly to a transparent permeable tuning film sheet with one or more than one fine aperture.
[0003] 2. Description of Prior Art
[0004] Currently various personal electronic devices have higher and higher standards.
[0005] For example, for audio effect, some users like to add an external speaker for better sound quality. Conventional speakers include a tuning sheet (acoustic damper) for adjusting output audio frequencies. However, different material and installation of the tuning sheet can cause different sound quality. Common tuning materials are long-fiber paper, non-woven fabric and mesh. The long-fiber paper and the non-woven fabric both have irregular pores on their surfaces which cause inconsistent permeability. The mesh is woven by thin threads having different diameters and has instable tension strength and irregular apertures. All three materials have inconsistent air permeabilities.
[0006] Therefore, it is desirable to provide a transparent acoustic damper to mitigate and/or obviate the aforementioned problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] In order to achieve the above-mentioned objective, a transparent acoustic damper having an adhesive region is disclosed (viewable) by the present invention.
[0008] The film sheet has an irregular shape, one or more than one fine aperture, and an adhesive region. The fine aperture of the film sheet has a diameter smaller than 0.4 mm. The adhesive on the transparent film sheet is viewable for easy installation inspection. The film sheet is made of transparent polyimide material.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0017] First, please refer to FIG. 1-FIG. 4. A transparent acoustic damper comprises a film sheet 11 and the film sheet 11 is thin and transparent. The film sheet 11 can be various shapes as design requirements, and the film sheet 11 has one or more than one fine aperture 110 with a diameter smaller than 0.4 mm. Due to the dimension of the fine aperture 110, the fine aperture 110 is used for tuning acoustic performance and also control the air permeability and water-resistant ability. The film sheet 11 further has an adhesive region 111 provided on one side, and the adhesive region 111 is capable of create tight seal. Furthermore, the adhesive region 111 could be applied with colorful water-resistant glue.
[0018] Please refer to FIG. 2-FIG. 6 together. The shape of the film sheet 11 is a half-moon shape, a horse-shoe shape or a circular shape. The film sheet 11 can be cut into different shapes to match a speaker 10 (as shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6) when the film sheet is adhered onto the speaker 10 with the adhesive region 111, and one or more than one fine aperture 110 are added in at a non-adhesive region. Since the fine aperture 110 is permeable and water-resistant and the glue applied on the adhesive region 111 is also water-resistant, the film sheet 11 provides water-resistant ability to the speaker 10. Moreover, the fine apertures 110 are disposed corresponding to a plurality of air ports 100 of speaker 10, and the number and size of the fine apertures 110 can control the output sound quality.
[0019] Conventional tuning sheet is not transparent; therefore when the tuning sheet is unstable placed , the output sound quality can be affected. Furthermore, if the convention adhesive glue is diffuses to cover the air port 100 of the speaker 10, it cannot be inspected, and the output sound quality can also be affected.
[0020] Since the film sheet 11 of the embodiment of the present invention is transparent, it is possible to inspect whether the installation position of the tuning sheet is correct.
[0021] According to the embodiment of the invention, one fine aperture 110 or more than one fine apertures 110 with a diameter smaller than 0.4 mm are provided at the non-adhesive region.
[0022] Conventional water-resistant sheets are usually Teflon film which has very poor permeability. However, the adjustable acoustic tuning film disclosed in the present invention is transparent, water-resistant and permeable.
[0023] Furthermore, please refer to FIG. 7 and FIG. 8. The transparent acoustic tuning film of the preferred embodiment of the present invention is also suitable for being applied onto an earphone 2. The number of the fine apertures 110 can tune characteristic of the output sound. As shown in FIG. 7, the film sheet 11 is respectively disposed in front of a front casing 21 and a rear casing 22, an earphone speaker 20 is placed between the film sheet 11 and the front casing 21, an electric wire 23 is connected to the earphone speaker 20 through the rear casing 22, and an ear cushion 24 is placed in front of the front casing 21. Therefore, the tune of the output sound of the earphone 2 can be adjusted by changing the position of the film sheet 11 and the number of the fine apertures 110.
[0024] Moreover, the transparent acoustic tuning film of the preferred embodiment of the present invention is also suitable for a speaker with an enclosure 3. As shown in FIG. 8, the film sheet 11 is disposed on a first opening 30 and a second opening 31. Via the speaker 32, the tune of the output sound of the speaker with an enclosure 3 can be adjusted by changing the position of the film sheet 11 and the number of the fine apertures 110.
[0025] Although the present invention has been described with reference to the foregoing preferred embodiments, it will be understood that the invention is not limited to the details thereof. Various equivalent variations and modifications can still occur to those skilled in this art in view of the teachings of the present invention. Thus, all such variations and equivalent modifications are also embraced within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
