Abstract:
An electronic device apparatus to allow individuals to safely and
securely utilize the technology and features of the device without
holding in one's hand. One component of the apparatus is a container to
house electronic devices. The container houses and protects an electronic
device. In addition, the container allows the user to access the controls
and features of the device without removal from the container. Multiple
attachment points located on the perimeter of the container, in
conjunction with adjustable strap system, permits the user the
flexibility to secure the container to multiple points on the body or to
any object. The detachable adjustable strap system permits the electronic
device and container to be positioned vertically or horizontally. The
electronic device apparatus can be sized to a specific specification or a
universal requirement.Claims:
1. An apparatus to secure a smartphone, cellphone, camcorder, video
camera, GPS, medical related or any similar compact electronic device.
2. The apparatus may be secured to multiple points of an individuals body or object, based on the desired use and/or comfort of the individual.
3. The apparatus provides handsfree use of the secured device, which enables increased safety when transporting or operating the devices features.
4. Device features, such as touch screen controls, may be controlled without removal of the device from the apparatus.
Description:
[0001] This application claims priority for claims against Provisional
Patent Application No. 61/402,980 filed on Sep. 9, 2010.
[0002] I have invented an apparatus to allow individuals to store, protect and use electronic devices such as; digital video cameras and smart phones, without holding in ones hands. Harnesses have been produced in the past and have relied on concepts of securing SLR or video cameras to the body when not in use or to elevate the cameras to the eye level, both requiring human intervention at point of use.
[0003] Various aspects of my "Digital Video Camera/Smart Phone Pouch and Harness" may have one or more of the following advantages:
[0004] Flexibility to hold various electronic devices and other items
[0005] Hands free during device utilization.
[0006] Ability to access and use the technology functions while in pouch.
[0007] Ability to use the technology functions while harness is worn.

OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION
Digital Video Camera/Smart Phone Pouch and Harness
[0022] User inserts video camera/smart phone into pouch through insertion 16a and secures the electronic device in pouch with closure. User has flexibility to determine the direction the device faces, towards the body or away. When user selects a horizontal orientation, the torso strap 18 is connected to 12a and looped around users torso to fastener 12b. User places lanyard 20 over neck and is connected to either 12c or 12d, depending on the pouches orientation. When user selects a vertical orientation, the torso strap 18 is connected to 12c and looped around users torso to fastener 12d. User places lanyard 20 over neck and is connected to either 12a or 12b, depending on the pouches orientation. User may then view and control the device through either the front or back panels of the pouch 10. The side of the device facing the users body may be easily accessed by disconnecting either a torso strap or the lanyard and using the controls through the flexible materials 10.
