Description:
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a structure of a curtain, in particular to a structure of a curtain capable of preventing a pull string from being wound around a human body by accident to achieve a higher safety effect.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] In general, a conventional curtain such as a Roman curtain includes a beam, an ascending/descending unit, and a drapery connected to the bottom of the beam, and the ascending/descending unit includes a plurality of pull strings and ascending/descending strings, and the drapery is formed by connecting a plurality of transversal drooped sections, and at least one row of through holes are formed on the transversal drooped sections for passing the ascending/descending string and fixing the ascending/descending string to the lowest through hole, such that the pull string can be pulled to drive the ascending/descending string to link with the drapery to achieve ascending or descending motions.
[0003] Since the pull string is normally exposed from a side of a window, the pull string may be wound around a child's neck by accident caused by the child's curiosity or when the child is playing with the pull string. The pull string poses a serious threat to children's safety.
[0004] Therefore, it is a main subject for the present invention to disclose a structure of a curtain to achieve a higher safety effect.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] In view of the shortcomings of the conventional curtain, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the related industry to conduct extensive researches and experiments, and finally developed a structure of a curtain, in hope of preventing a pull string from being wound around a human body by accident to achieve a higher safety effect.
[0006] Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to provide the structure of a curtain, such that if a relatively large external pulling force is applied to the pull string or the chain, the first latch, second latch and third latch will be separated to prevent the pull string or the chain from being wound around a human body accidentally to achieve a higher safety effect.
[0007] To achieve the foregoing objective, the present invention discloses a structure of a curtain, comprising: a main curtain body, including a beam, a curtain sheet with an end coupled to the beam, and a plurality of transversal rods installed onto the curtain sheet; a plurality of first latches, installed separately at another end of the curtain sheet; a plurality of second latches, installed separately onto each transversal rod; an ascending/descending unit, coupled to the main curtain body, and including a winding/unwinding shaft installed on a side of the beam, a pull string with an end coupled to the first latch, passed through the second latch, and connected to the winding/unwinding shaft, and a chain for transmitting the winding/unwinding shaft; and a third latch, installed onto the chain.
[0008] If the pull string or the chain of the curtain is pulled by a relatively large external pulling force, the first latch, second latch and third latch will be separated to prevent the pull string or the chain from being wound around a human body accidentally, so as to achieve a higher safety effect.

[0010] FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the present invention;
[0011] FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of Portion a of FIG. 2;
[0012] FIG. 4 is an enlarged view of Portion b of FIG. 2; and
[0013] FIG. 5 is an enlarged view of Portion c of FIG. 2.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0014] The objects, characteristics and effects of the present invention will become apparent with the detailed descriptions of the preferred embodiment and the illustrations of related drawings as follows.
[0015] With reference to FIGS. 1 to 5 for a perspective view, an exploded view and partial enlarged views of Portions a, b and c of FIG. 2 in accordance with the present invention respectively, a structure of a curtain comprises a main curtain body 1, a plurality of first latches 2, a plurality of second latches 3, an ascending/descending unit 4 and a third latch 5.
[0016] The main curtain body 1 includes a beam 11, a curtain sheet 12 with an end coupled to the beam 11, a plurality of support frames 13 installed at the beam 11, a plurality of sheath portions 14 disposed on a surface of the curtain sheet 12, a transversal rod 15 installed onto each respective sheath portion 14, and a weight portion 16 disposed in another end of the curtain sheet 12.
[0017] Each first latch 2 is installed separately at another end of the curtain sheet 12, and includes a latch base 21 disposed at another end of the curtain sheet 12, and a latch portion 22 movably latched with the latch base 21, and each latch portion 22 includes a fixing hole 221 formed thereon.
[0018] Each second latch 3 is clamped onto each transversal rod 15 through the sheath portions 14, and includes a clamp portion 31 disposed at an end of each second latch 3, and a through hole 32 formed at another end of each second latch 3.
[0019] The ascending/descending unit 4 is coupled to the main curtain body 1 and includes a winding/unwinding shaft 41 installed on a side of the beam 11, a pull string 42 coupled to the fixing hole 221, passed through the through hole 32 and the support frame 13, and connected to the winding/unwinding shaft 41, and a chain 43 for transmitting the winding/unwinding shaft 41.
[0020] The third latch 5 is installed onto the chain 43, and includes a pair of connectors 51, 52 coupled to each other, and an end of each pair of connectors 51, 52 is coupled to the chain 43.
[0021] When the present invention is used, the beam 11 of the main body 1 is combined with the top of the window frame (not shown in the figure), and a force is applied to the chain 43, such that the chain 43 transmits the winding/unwinding shaft 41 to coil the pull string 42, and the link string 42 is moved upwardly in the through hole 32 of each second latch 3, while each first latch 2 at another end of the curtain sheet 12 is being pulled, such that the curtain sheet 12 is ascended to perform a rolling movement. After the curtain sheet 12 is rolled to a predetermined position, no force is applied to the chain 43 anymore, such that the winding/unwinding shaft 41 stops moving and coiling the pull string 42 to fix the curtain sheet 12 at the predetermined position. If it is necessary to descend the curtain sheet 12, another side of the chain 43 is pulled again, such that the winding/unwinding shaft 41 can release the pull string 42. Now, the curtain sheet 12 can be descended by the weight portion 16. In the meantime, the pull string 42 can be moved downwardly in the through hole 32 of each clamp portion 32 to achieve the effect of descending the curtain sheet 12.
[0022] If a child is curious or playing with the chain 43 and the chain 43 is wound around the child's body (such as the child's neck) accidentally, a relatively large external pulling force (much greater than the force for pulling the curtain body 12) will be applied to the chain 43, and the pair of connectors 51, 52 of each third latch 5 will be separated from each other to prevent the chain 43 from being wound around a human body, so as to achieve a higher safety effect. If the pull string 42 is wound around the child's body, an external pulling force much greater than the pulling force for pulling the curtain sheet 12 will be applied to the pull string 42, such that the clamp portion 31 of each second latch 3 is separated from the transversal rod 15 installed in each respective sheath portion 14, or the latch portion 22 and the latch base 21 of each first latch 2 will be separated simultaneously or separately to effectively prevent the pull string 42 from being tightly wound around a human body, so as to achieve a higher safety effect for the operation of the curtain. After the aforementioned emergency situation is released, the latch base 21 and the latch portion 22 of the first latch 2 are combined; the clamp portion 31 of the second latch 3 is combined with the transversal rod 15, and the pair of connectors 51, 52 of the third latch 5 are combined again to achieve the effect of repeated uses.
[0023] The present invention comes with a structure, such that if a relatively large external pulling force is applied to the pull string or the chain, the first latch, second latch and third latch will be separated to prevent the pull string or the chain from being wound around a human body by accident, so as to achieve a higher safety effect. Obviously, the invention complies with the patent application requirements, and products derived from the present invention can satisfy the current market requirements sufficiently.
[0024] While the invention has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.
