Abstract:
The current invention discloses a simple method and device to prevent
trousers' hem sliding under the heels, no matter how long the legs are.
The present invention discloses a unique way of using adhesive material,
such as hook and loop fasteners (such as Velcro®) or magnetic
material, to prevent legs of trousers or pants from getting caught under
footwear. According to this invention adhesive material is applied on the
back of the footwear and on the inner seams of the trousers. When the two
parts of the adhesive material is attached together, the hem is locked to
the shoe and it cannot slip under the heel. The invention according to
this disclosure allows a method to attach the hems directly onto the
shoe, without a need to have any separate parts. Moreover, once the parts
of this invention are attached to the trousers and to the shoes there is
no need to any adjustments or assemblies later on.Claims:
1. A method to attach trousers' legs to back of a footwear to prevent
slipping of the leg under footwear heel, said method comprising steps
of:a) Providing hook and loop material having a hook member and a loop
member,b) Attaching one of the members onto back of the footwear and the
other member onto inner seam of trousers; andc) Attaching the loops of
the loop member to the hooks of the hook member.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the hook and loop material is provided on a self adhesive tape.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the members are fastened to the footwear and to the inner seam of the trousers by applying heat on the members.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the member attached to the footwear back is covered with a detachable cover that is removed when the trouser leg is to be attached to the footwear.
5. A method to attach trousers' legs to back of a footwear to prevent slipping of the leg under footwear heel, said method comprising steps of:a) Providing flexible magnetic material and a metal strip attachable to the magnetic material,b) Attaching the magnetic material onto back of the footwear and the metal strip onto inner seam of trousers; andc) Attaching the magnetic material to the metal strip.
6. The method of claim 5, wherein the magnetic material and the metal strip are provided on a self adhesive tape.
7. The method of claim 5, wherein the magnetic material and the metal strip are fastened to the footwear and to the inner seam of the trousers by applying heat.
8. The method of claim 5, wherein the magnetic material attached to the footwear back is covered with a detachable cover that is removed when the trouser leg is to be attached to the footwear.
9. A device to attach trousers' legs to back of footwear to prevent slipping of the leg under footwear heel, said device comprising:a) a piece of adhesive material fastened to back of a footwear,b) a strip of material capable of attaching to the adhesive material, said strip being fastened to inner seam of trousers.
10. The device of claim 9, wherein the adhesive material and the strip material are hook- and loop material.
11. The device of claim 9, wherein the adhesive material is magnetic material and the strip is a metal strip.
12. The device of claim 9, wherein the attachable material is covered with a cover when not attached to the strip on the seam.
13. The device of claim 12, wherein the cover contains ornaments, logos or advertisements.
Description:
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001]The present invention relates to preservation denims, dungarees and other materials of trousers and pants.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002]Trousers' hems become inconveniently dirty and even destroyed when the hem slides under the heel. If the trousers are selected for use with high heel shoes one can not use low heel shoes with the same trousers because the trouser legs are too long and slip under the heel.
[0003]There is accordingly a need for a simple device and method to prevent the hems to slip under the heels.
[0004]Currently, the devices provided to lock trousers' legs so that the hems are not slipping under the footwear heels are r complicated multipart devices as disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 7,032,275 as an example. Alternatively the devices comprise members that are to be attached to wearer's ankle and the trousers, thereby necessitating new assembly each time the leg is wished to be locked.
[0005]Therefore there is a need for a simple method and device that prevents slipping of the trousers' legs under the heels of footwear. As the response to the existing need the current invention provides a simple method to fix the hem onto the footwear back without a need reassembling various parts each time the device is used.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006]The current invention discloses a simple method and device to prevent trousers' hem sliding under the heels, no matter how long the legs are. The present invention discloses a unique way of using adhesive material; such hook and loop fasteners (such as Velcro®) or magnetic material, to prevent legs of trousers or pants from getting caught under footwear. According to this invention adhesive material is applied on the back of the footwear and on the inner seams of the trousers. When the two parts of the adhesive material is attached together, the hem is locked to the shoe and it cannot slip under the heel. The invention according to this disclosure allows a method to attach the hems directly onto the shoe, without a need to have any separate parts. Moreover, once the parts of this invention are attached to the trousers and to the shoes there is no need to any adjustments or assemblies later on.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0015]According to this invention, adhesive material is attached to the back of a footwear and material attachable to the adhesive material is attached to the inner seam of trousers' hem. The adhesive material may be hook and loop fastener such as Velcro®, or it can be magnetic material attachable to metal strip.
[0016]According to one embodiment one side of a hook and loop fastener is attached to the back of a footwear and the other side is attached to the inner seem of the hem.
[0017]According to another embodiment flexible magnetic material is attached to the back of the footwear and a strip of metal is attached to the inner seam of the hem.
[0018]According to one preferred embodiment the hook and loop fastener or the magnetic material and the metals strip are provided on an adhesive tape. Thus the materials are attached to the shoe and the hem by removing a protective layer from the tape side and pressing the tape on the shoe or on the hem. The attachment may be secured by applying heat (e.g. ironing) on the tape.
[0019]According to yet another embodiment a pin or clip is provided on an adhesive tape, the adhesive tape is attached to the footwear and the hem is fastened to the pin or the clip to prevent the leg to get under the heel.
[0020]According to one preferred embodiment the adhesive material that is attached on the footwear is covered when not in use. The cover is removable and it may contain advertisements, logos or other desired ornaments.
[0021]Now referring to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates the front side of attachable loop member 1 of hook and loop material. The material may be provided as tape where the backs side of the material is covered with a protective layer 2. Once the protective layer is removed the material can be attached to back of the shoe and according to one preferable embodiment fastening of the material may be secured by applying heat for example by ironing.
[0022]Similarly the hook member 3 may be covered with a protective layer 2, as is shown in FIG. 2. FIGS. 3 and 4 show the hook and loop members attached to the back of footwear 4 and the inner seam 5 of the trousers leg, respectively.
[0023]FIG. 6 illustrates another preferred embodiment of the invention, where a magnetic strip 6 is attached to back of footwear 4, and a metal strip 7 is attached to the inner seam 5 of the trousers.
[0024]FIG. 7 shows the result of use of the method and device of this invention. The leg of the trousers is attached directly to the footwear, thereby fixing the hem above the heel.
[0025]FIG. 8 shows an embodiment of the invention where the adhesive material fastened to the back of the shoe is covered with a detachable cover 8 that may carry an advertisement, logo or other ornamentation 9.
[0026]One skilled in the art realizes that several modifications to the above description may be made without departing from the spirit of this invention.
