5.6. How can I turn off the annoying call waiting beep that cuts me off?
To turn off call waiting for the duration of this call, bring up your dialing properties and turn on "This location has Call Waiting, to disable it dial..." and type the string needed to disable call waiting. The drop-down list gives many variations of "*70" to choose from. Most tone-dial systems use *70, and most pulse dial systems will use 1170.
