There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers...
Now at
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-hierarchy/alt/support/depression/
I see three items called "my Book List"
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-hierarchy/alt/support/depression/My_Book_List_
(alt.support.depression)_-_part_1_of_3
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-hierarchy/alt/support/depression/My_Book_List_
(alt.support.depression)_-_part_2_of_3
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-hierarchy/alt/support/depression/My_Book_List_
(alt.support.depression)_-_part_3_of_3
all with a date of Wed 05/Apr/00 04:13
the directory at
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-group/alt.support.depression/
also has three of the same title at
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-group/alt.support.depression/My_Book_List_(alt
.support.depression)_-_part_1_of_3
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-group/alt.support.depression/My_Book_List_(alt
.support.depression)_-_part_2_of_3
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-group/alt.support.depression/My_Book_List_(alt
.support.depression)_-_part_3_of_3
again with the date of Wed 05/Apr/00 04:13
Assuming that this is the one that you posted, perhaps either you missed
seeing it appear, or you are using a web browser to view the directory and it
kept an old version in its cache. try clicking on one of the directory URLs
and then hitting the "reload" button in your browser.
IF the version that is being posted is not the current one, try asking the
autoposter to send you what it has on file. (Send it an email with STATUS
<password> <archive name> if I remeber corectly)
That is also the way to see if the truncation occured before or after it got
posted. If it is complete on the autoposter - try to FORCE a posting to see
if it just got truncated. Give it a coupple of days to get updated.....
There are quite a few subscribers to the list, but last time I heard the
moderation team was a bit sparse due to needing to train a few new moderators.

SUBJECT too long. Original SUBJECT is
Is anybody else subscribed to this list, I got a couple stupid questions??
---------------------- Original Message Follows ----------------------
I recently updated and resumed a 3 part posting that was suspended for
about a year. I have a couple of questions about it.
First off, the post (it's called "My Book List") is in the rtfm.mit.edu
archive, but only in the folder
<fontfamily><param>Geneva</param>ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-group/alt.sup
port.depression/
and NOT in the folder
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-hierarchy/alt/support/depression/
</fontfamily>The other odd thing is that the 3ed part was cut short in
it's posted form, but is complete in it's rtfm archived form. What's
up with that?? Is there some maximum line number or kb or something
like that?? And if so, what is it?? Other FAQ's in the same rtfm
folder seem to be listed as being as large or larger (in terms of kb),
but appear posted without being cut off short.
Sincerely
Stewart
