Here's a very related excerpt from the Debian Linux announcement
list. This tool has wonderful potential for us.

Imagine, rtfm.mit.edu or faqs.org becomes the official FAQ site, and
we all become simple moderators. It would simplify our maintenance
duties tremendously.

DEBIAN UNVEILS NEW USER-MAINTAINED FAQ, SEEKS USERS AS MODERATORS.

Debian's new user-maintained "Frequently-asked-Questions" at
http://www.debian.org/cgi-bin/fom is special in that it is written
primarily by Debian users, not developers. This is a place to put the
things you find out about your own system, so that other users will
profit from your experience. Any user can submit an answer - to learn
how, go to the FAQ and click on "About this FAQ", then "How do I add
answers?". We need moderators to read user submissions and approve them
for inclusion in the FAQ. Each section of the FAQ can have its own
moderator, so you can specialize in what interests you. If you'd like
to volunteer, please write Igor Grobman <igor@debian.org> .
