That is true. But how many news sites will carry this newsgroup, and
should one day people cmsg newgroup it, how soon do you expect people
will do cmsg rmgroup for it?
I expect a heated discussion in alt.config before alt.spammers.answers
is approved by the consensus.
I had this idea because in the most recent one or two years, this
FAQ Maintainer mailing list seems to discuss more on cancels and spams
instead of FAQ's.
I do not support moderation unconditionally, but I believe it is just a
matter of time for all unmoderated newsgroup to fall and becomes totally
unreadable by spams and crosspostings. Maybe it is time for us to consider
having all newsgroups moderated -- at least to enforce the netiquette.
