This wasn't a cancel - the article was dropped by a site-specific
filter.
(And no, it's now common for original posters not to be notified of
cancels, because a) most spam has forged addresses anyway and b) most
cancels are generated by the bot known as Cosmo Roadkill, which
doesn't have a complaint-generator built in.)
