I started maintaining the FAQ for soc.motss this past December. All
is going well, thank goodness. I also wrote some scripts to make
traffic summaries for the group and that too is going well. But...
I didn't get started on that until the beginning of February, so I
didn't start saving all the articles in my group until 1 Feb 98.
It would have been much smarter of me to get the traffic report idea
a month earlier, so that come next December 31 I could have an
annual report.
My ISP, like everyone else in the game, does not have infinite
spool space. It's impressive enough that they carry 19,370 groups!
But maybe someone, somewhere (you now hear the sound of pure hope)
*does* have an archive of the postings to soc.motss for Jan. 98.
I've asked in the group itself, of course, but alas, nothing. If
there really is such a thing, maybe someone here knows of it and
could direct me there, longshot or not.
Please help if you can.
