I'm inclined to think not --- the bug presumably affects just a small
minority of news sites. (It would only affect "master/slave" setups
where a master news server is the sole news source for one or more
slave servers. Netcom is big enough to need an arrangement like that,
but most places probably aren't.)

Also, the bug only occurs if the site has installed a *nonstandard*
patch to innd. Mark was going to arrange for the fix to be announced
on the same mail list where the patch had been announced; I think that
that should be sufficient.

I forwarded this info to faq-maintainers mainly so that FAQ authors
would be aware that there has been a problem affecting their articles.
