The problem is that of control. If people take copies of your FAQ
and add them to their own server, the odds are they will not bother to
keep them up-to-date. How serious this is depends on the FAQ, medical
FAQs being an obvious example of how out-of-date information can be
dangerous.

The script protects against theft by ignorance, but not theft by
malice.

I will not be using the script. My approach to this problem is to
periodically search for my FAQ and to then contact the providers of
out-of-date versions. I politely request that they either update it
or replace it with a link to an official site. I also offer to add
them to the list of people automatically e-mailed new versions of the
FAQ. While my approach does not solve the problem completely, it does
succeed in keeping it under control.
