Subject: Mailing list archives.

2. I would like to put the archives up in hypermail so that people could
read and do research on what has been said in the past. Any problems
with doing that ?

[Al Gilman, here...]

a. It's a good idea.

b. Have you looked at MHonArc before selecting Hypermail? My impression
is that nobody is maintaining Hypermail and that is a reason to use
MHonArc.

c. I have a half-understood exercise in progress to set a style for email
WebArchives that works well for blind people who use a screen-reading
text-to-speech system to receive their internet information. The classical
News formatting with lots of headers at the start of the Web page is
not speech-friendly. I have a mockup of an alternate presentation style
on display in a comparative setup at

I have not looked at implementing the changes in either MHonArc or
Hypermail. We have used both on the lynx-dev list and I find each
has its advantages.

[...more if you wish]
