Absolutely. I only do this to thwart email-bots on USENET -- I've set up
my web stuff to a.) reject cookies, and b.) lie about my address.
Anything else, e.g. "personal" mail, I only expect real humans to read and
respond to (even if it is only "read" by an auto-responder), so I hand out
my real name.
I have been swamped with unreturnable mail, lately -- I wonder who's
responsible. Now, where did I put that procmail FAQ...
