> Is there an easy way to get the "offical" version of my name changed? Pam?
I can't get to my moderation account just now, so I'm not positive
what the situation is with your FAQ, but as general comments...
1) Submitting a FAQ to news-answers-submit@mit.edu and having it
accepted by the automatic checker isn't the same as having it
approved. It won't start appearing at RTFM until one of the
moderators approves it by hand.
2) The archival script won't refuse to store a posting because it has
a different From: header from what's listed in the LoPIP. It might
miss one that has a different Subject, though, and it'll definitely
miss one with a different Subject and Archive-name.
3) Any time you want to change one of the headers listed in the List
of Periodic Informational Postings, whether because it's changed or
because we messed up when we listed it, drop us a note explaining what
you want. It may take a while, but if you receive the autoreply that
says your message has been queued, we will get to your request. (If
you don't get that autoreply and you're not using an AOL account,
either your email looked like "junk mail" to the auto-replier or it
got lost in transit. Try sending it again, perhaps with a different
Subject.)
