The Utrecht archive extracts these pointers and displays them
alongside in the directory view.
As an example, here's their directory of news.admin.net-abuse.misc FAQs
(http://www.cs.ruu.nl/wais/html/na-bng/news.admin.net-abuse.misc.html):
o [[Advertising on Usenet: How To Do It, How Not To Do It]]
o [[alt.spam FAQ or "Figuring out fake E-Mail & Posts". Rev 961002]]
Refers to: [[http://digital.net/~gandalf/spamfaq.html]]
o [[alt.syntax.tactical FAQ - Dealing with Trolls Crossposting and Flames
Rev 960911]]
Refers to: [[http://digital.net/~gandalf/trollfaq.html]]
o [[Blacklist of Internet Advertisers]]
o [[Cancel Messages: Frequently Asked Questions, Part 1/3 (v1.25)]]
Refers to: [[http://www.uiuc.edu/ph/www/tskirvin/cancel.html]]
o [[Cancel Messages: Frequently Asked Questions, Part 2/3 (v1.25)]]
Refers to: [[http://www.uiuc.edu/ph/www/tskirvin/cancel.html]]
o [[Cancel Messages: Frequently Asked Questions, Part 3/3 (v1.25)]]
Refers to: [[http://www.uiuc.edu/ph/www/tskirvin/cancel.html]]
o [[Changes to "Advertising on Usenet: How To Do It, How Not To Do It" [No
Changes]]]
o [[Net Abuse FAQ]]
Refers to: [[http://www.cybernothing.org/faqs/net-abuse-faq.html]]
o [[news.admin.net-abuse FAQ (2/2)]]
(The [[]]:s are my text-only browser's way of indicating a link.)
The "Refers to" apparently snatches any URL: header in the secondary
headers of the FAQ (which is at least how I would do it).
Hope this helps,
