I think the max line length is 512bytes including <CR><LF> and the header
token. That's 2^9

Well, charter FAQs for newsgroups with lots of names in their hierarchy is
a good example.

I Think the names of the Big-8 OS/2 newsgroups total about 600characters
including the separating commas. The MS-Windows group list is much longer.
