Yes, do crosspost to rec.answers. No, it isn't spam. The two
complainers are hardly a consensus and can probably be ignored. If
you feel the need, send a note to the newsgroup and ask for
potential solutions and then repost your chosen solution.

Perhaps you could post the full FAQ monthly, and post a table of
contents with pointers to ftp and Web areas bi-weekly (as I do in
comp.mail.mh).

Not necessarily. When the comp.mail.mh FAQ broke the 100k barrier,
I sent a note out to the newsgroup asking if I should break it up.
I received only one response--saying NOT to break it up.

p.s. Coincidently, I just got copies of pictures of the 1993
Adelaide Grand Prix from my traveling companion at the time. The
ones of Schumacher and the late Senna were quite good...
