I'd like to add my two cents to the ongoing discussion about the
perfect way to maintain the faq. I use the GNU Texinfo package for
maintaining my faq.

Texinfo is a meta language similar to LaTeX. It is pretty easy to
learn and supporting software is available en mass. The big advantage
of Texinfo is that you can use it to generate all kind of outputs. You
can process it with Latex and get a DVI or Postscript file, which can
be printed at high quality.

The makeinfo utility will generate plain ascii text or various on-line
reader formats (Info, AmigaGuide, etc...). texinfo2html finally,
produces a html version of the document.

You can find the texinfo package on any GNU ftp mirror, if you're
interested. If you'd like to see the output of texinfo2html before
trying it, you can take a look at my faq on the url below.
