I noticed several replys saying that folk could just use killfiles to keep
from downloading the files. However, if the users in question are leaf
nodes getting their newsgroup via uucp, etc. then they are 'stuck' downloading.
I don't think I have ever seen anyone provide a 'killfile' mechanism for
news batches.

On the other hand, as was mentioned, a few complaints probably are not
enough to warrent a change, particularly if the material in question
doesn't lend itself to being broken up into smaller parts.

I broke my FAQ into several parts a couple of years ago. I then cajoled
several kind hearted souls into tending to some of these parts.
Contact me in private email if you wish to discuss that direction
further.
