The problem with the linuxdoc-sgml system (we use it at the FreeBSD Project
for all our documentation and I use it for the FreeBSD FAQ) is that:

- the linuxdoc DTD is rather poor (designed for HTML 1.x in mind),

- translators are not great, especially for text output (suitable for
posting),

- no support for HTML tables and more sophisticated things.

For these reasons, we'll probably move soon to a docbook based DTD (made by
the Davenport group hosted by O'Reilly) and someone is writing the
translator. There is the ORA translator (GMAT) but it is not available now
(still Alpha).
