If he understands that his giving you money in no way obligates you to
do anything for him (doesn't obligate you to give him preferential
treatment _in_ the FAQ, nor does it give him any "rights" over the
distribution of your FAQ) I fail to see the problem.

Point out to him that you are treating his donations as just that--
deeply appreciated charitable donations-- and get whatever legalish
backup you feel necessary, take the money, and run. God knows I
would.
