I can't post to the list, because my email address just changed due to a
domain name registration, and I don't yet have sufficient confidence in
my ISP to unsubscribe/resubscribe to all my mailing lists yet.

Besides, even without my domain name, due to some strange stuff at my
ISP, the email address that appears on my outgoing mail changes depending
on which machine of my ISP I'm logged onto. That is, one day, I may be
carroll@aimnet1.aimnet.com, and other days I may be carroll@aimnet.com.

It would be nice if my provider could make my outgoing mail consistently
"carroll@aimnet.com". I suspect it's possible, since my old ISP did so
-- I don't know why Aimnet won't.

In any event, this is a strong vote to allow posts without subscribing.

As I can't post directly to the list, I'd appreciate it if you would be
good enough to forward this email to the faq-maintainers list.
