In my other life, I am an Internet Mail Systems Administrator for
aol.com and gnn.com. I've been wanting to post the
comp.mail.sendmail FAQ from work ever since I came onboard over a
year ago, and haven't yet been able to slice down through all the
work on my plate to coordinate this with our Usenet News
Administration team. If we have one machine as an auto-faq server
for my FAQ, we should be able to make use of it for other FAQs as
well, not to mention other purposes (perhaps acting as a
news-mail/mail-news gateway for certain newsgroups).
Tell your friend to send a note to Screen Name "Steve Case", and
request that AOL set up their own FAQ server. Meanwhile, I'll try to
pop the stack several levels and get back to work on the mail/news
gateway machine.
Mahalo!
