To subscribe to the list at the new site, you should reply to this
email message and put the command "subscribe" in the subject line.
(There is also a "subscribe digest" command, but the digest mode MAY
NOT BE WORKING PROPERLY YET. You have been warned.)
Please keep in mind that it may take a few days for people to get
around to reading this message and to subscribe themselves; while you
may wish to start discussions, folks with announcements will probably
do better to hold off for at least a week to give people time to get
onto the mailing list again.
[For now, faq-maintainers-announce remains hosted at mit.edu, since it
is a moderated list and therefore has not been subjected to the
various problems which faq-maintainers@mit.edu had. If it gets
migrated in the future, the migration can be made a wholly seamless
one. As before, all subscribers to faq-maintainers will receive a
copy of any announcements made on faq-maintainers-announce@mit.edu;
there's no need to subscribe to both lists.]

P.S. The list software on consensus.com does not at this time support
a command to subscribe you under a different address; hopefully such
support will be added in the future. If you must subscribe under a
different address, the simplest and quickest method is probably to
find a local guru who is familiar with telnet'ing to the smtp port to
subscribe you by "forging" email. If this avenue is not open to you,
for now you may email faq-maintainers-request@mit.edu (request will be
read by human beings) with your subscription request, EXPLICITLY
explaining you cannot automatically subscribe because you need to
subscribe under a different address, and we will subscribe you within
a few days. We will not process subscriptions which could have been
done automatically.
