Whose responsibility?

Question for you all:

If you include reviews from lots of contributors (for products,
etc.) in your FAQ, do you make it a habit to send the review to
the manufacturer out of courtesy? Do you ask the contributor to
do so? In other words, is the manufacturer or company somehow
made aware that there is a review of them in a FAQ in a usenet?

I ask because one of the Tattoo FAQ sheets is a fairly longish
Artist List which is a collection of reviews (like a movie or
restaurant review) done by various people. Obviously, I put a
big caveat disclaimer on there about it being personal opinion,
and that I discourage people posting for commercial gain, etc.
but so far I have never made it an effort to notify the artists.
Now that a lot of artists have become aware of the newsgroup and
the FAQ, I think it only fair they know their shops are
reviewed. Opinions? Not all reviews are positive--but most of
the time if it's a mediocre shop no one bothers to do a review.

Also, should I just make it the job of the contributor (a la
rec.arts.books.reviews' policy to mail approved reviews to the
publisher)? It'll save quite a bit on postage and humbug for me.

Thanks!
