The Editor for the Canadian Encyclopaedia came and gave a talk to my
electronic publishing class at university.

They are making the new encyclopaedia on a CD-ROM - no more paper books. It
will have text, music, audio and movies. Included will be an American
encyclopaedia, dictionary, thesausrus and powerful searching tools.
It will sell for $CDN 99 or about $US 75. I saw the beta version.

I asked him how much he was paying contributors and he said 25 cents a word!
For my M68k FAQ, I would get about $2,500! WOW!

Just thought you would like to know that contributors get a bit more than a
free CD-ROM. :-)
