Hm- in my case, everyone knew we needed a FAQ, so I volunteered to start
writing it. I got a "draft" copy up and posted it for suggestions, and sent
it in to be approved after working through it. Two more releases have been
posted since then, and the next will finally be on the *.answers group. :)
Lots of people contributed, commented, etc. during its initial creation, but
since then there haven't been too many major suggestions.
