I believed I've given this story (in more-or-less consistent
fashion) before, but what the hack.
I've been watching alt.sex.wanted since wayback. My first
non-lurker involvement was checking to see that apparently female
posters were not the victim of a practical joke... and flaming the
idiots who tried such jokes. I later started flaming other forms of
stupid behavior and dumb questions. And eventually, I got tired of
flaming idiots individually. As a result, the FAQ for alt.sex.wanted
got created... and is in the form of a systematic, point-by-point
flame replying to a composite cannonically stupid post.
Thus was a FAQ born....
