The conclusion reached by others is likely to be correct --- the
"problems" you are observing are indicative of MIME encoding. The
faq-server software itself does not impose MIME encoding, and
therefore something on your end (or, much less likely, in transit) is
converting your posting before it reaches the faq-server software.
