George brings up an excellent point--what terminology do people use in
describing their role as FAQ maintainer to someone who might not know
what that means?

I find myself having to rattle off a schpeel... "Well, there's this
newsgroup, which is like a forum, on the Internet, and people always
have the same basic questions so every newsgroup has what's called a
FAQ, or Frequently Asked Questions--and I maintain the FAQ for our
group."

...Duh. Does anyone have any other suggestions for telling non-'net
people what you mean without it sounding so corny?
