According to Lani Teshima-Miller:

Yes...I quickly designed a card using FrameMaker and photocopied it
onto card stock (we're not talking any significant effort or cost)
identifying me as the "editor" of the comp.dcom.fax FAQ.

I did it because I want fax vendors to keep me apprised of press releases
and such and I thought PR flacks and the like would better understand a
business card that said "Editor". Also, it helps when my card is passed
along (i.e. I don't have to depend on them to explain the relationship
between my "real" identity and the FAQ...the FAQ business card does this.)

I tend to hand out both cards (my "real" card and my "FAQ" card) at trade
shows and the like and ask that the FAQ card be passed along to the
appropriate person.

B.T.W. - my "real" identify (developer of fax software) and my FAQ are
very closely related but I still consider it useful to have both cards.

On a related note (and probably of little interest to those FAQs which
have little commercial contents) I am planning to send out a form letter
to all major fax vendors (machines as well as software) asking them to
put me (in my FAQ editor identity) on their press mailing list. When I
do this I will also draw up some "comp.dcom.fax FAQ" letterhead.
