Switch to NewsWatcher 2.0 -- I confess I've never used Nuntius, but
NewsWatcher is a delight and a treat to use. It communicates NNTP (news)
protocol over a TCP/IP link (MacTCP), across a PPP or SLIP line if that's
how you run MacTCP, or dedicated Ethernet, whatever shakes. It does not do
UUCP serial line connect itself, but I don't think Nuntius does that
either.

Normally in NewsWatcher you just hit Command-R to reply to a posting by
private mail, public followup, or both. Or you hit New Message to start a
thread. In this case you don't see any header or signature lines -- they're
automatically inserted.

But if you hit Show Details (Command-H) -- expert mode, if you like --
NewsWatcher displays all the header lines and your signature in editable
fields. You can add, delete and edit headers to your heart's content.

C.

[p.s. You can even use NewsWatcher to compose mail if you like, although
NewsWatcher is less optimized for mail that it is for news, and of course
it has no capability to read mail, only send using SMTP.]
