With respect to size, I've estimated that all the FAQs put together would
approach about 20-25000 pages of text. This estimate is rough, since
"pages" vary widely, but its certainly on the right order of magnitude.
A ****load of stuff. (And Kudos to all you maintainers, I might add)

I'd also point out that converting all that text to HTML as suggested
will be a lot harder than you (original posters) think (unless you do
it half-assed like I do). And it probably won't be to the complete
satisfaction of the maintainers, and in many cases some things won't
translate well to HTML, and as others have said, if they don't get the
HTML back to maintain themselves, then it is all for nothing, since
most FAQs change so rapidly.
