I am deeply gratified that there was such a strong response to my
request for people to take over my FAQ postings. Although I'm soon
not going to have the time to maintain them, I am concerned that they
continue to exist in an up-to-date form; I am therefore pleased that
there was so much interest in helping me preserve them, and I am
confident that they will live on under the care of their new
maintainers.

There was such a strong response to my request that I couldn't give
an FAQ everyone who responded. I hope that those of you who didn't
end up being asked to take over one of my FAQs won't be *too* upset
that I haven't loaded more work onto your shoulders :-).

I gave each person who I chose to take over an FAQ a list of the
others who volunteered to take over that particular FAQ, in cas the
new maintainer requires assistance at some point in the future.

I'd especially like to publicly thank the people who will be
maintaining the FAQs from now on. They are:
