(Re:)**n Spaghetti Publishers want your FAQ!

Let us not forget that most FAQ maintainers are essentialy
editors/moderators more than authors; that is to say, they
are collecting fragments from other's articles, and editing
them into a reference work. I think this makes *another*
editor wanting to grab our collection and print it seem like
they're getting the benifit of our work for free.

Second, what about all the folks who contributed to the FAQ?
If it's published and someone gets paid, shouldn't the
contributors who answered individual questions be given
some part of the money? How do we keep track of that in a
FAQ posting thats been changing for several years...

Anyway, I think there are lots of complicated issues here, and
more than can be hashed out reasonably in this mailing list.
Suffice it to say I see lots of reasons for not wanting a FAQ
published in a book, etc.
