For God's sake, what is so DAMN difficult about working within the
*.answers guidelines?
If you are concerned about making life easier for humans, consider the fact
that living within the (very loose) *.answers guidelines makes life easier
for the humans who originally set up, and now maintain, the FAQ archives at
rtfm.mit.edu.
If there's one thing I've found consistently "singularly anal and
restrictive" in all my years dealing with computer types, it's the twits
who are always cribbing about any kind of guideline and insist on breaking
them all - all the while talking about how "computers should server
humanity, not the other way around." Invariably, of course, their behavior
results chiefly in a greater burden being placed on other humans - rather
than simply being absorbed by the computers intended to serve us all.
